Whole Body Wellness

"After being ill for months, Daphne came into my life. Each time I left one the sessions with her I felt energized and positive, and her analysis was always a step ahead of the [other practitioners]."

  • There is no need to go to the local health food store confused about what you might need from the multiple aisles of pills, powders, foods and other remedies.
  • By checking in with your body, you can cut out needless waste and specifically identify the tools that will assist you in obtaining or maintaining physical and emotional wellness.

NUTRITION

Herbs/Supplements

If you're at the health food store, you're on the right track though, because America is finally jumping back onto the bandwagon of natural and healthy options to wellness after years of dismissing the centuries old, proven techniques of natural healing. The key: there's a lot of great stuff out there, but that doesn't mean you need to take it all! Just because you read an article on a specific supplement that can assist with a certain malady does not mean it's the right supplement for you!

Kinesiology takes away the confusion by compiling an individualized nutritional program written by the individual's own body regarding what and how much is appropriate to bring the body back into balance and/or keep it in balance. Actual imbalances themselves are revealed during the muscle testing session.

Nutritional therapy (often in conjunction with emotional, energetic and/or body work) can support many chronic imbalances such as those listed in the following categories:

adrenals/stress
allergies (food/environmental)
amino acids
bacteria
blood sugar/pancreas
brain/mood/depression
cardiovascular
cholesterol
colon
digestion/gastrointestinal
endocrine/hormones

  enzymes
  fatty acids (EFAs)
  female health
  fungus/yeast/mold
  gallbladder
  HCl (hydrochloric acid)
  heavy metals
  immunity/auto-immune
  intestines
  joints/muscles
  kidney/urinary

liver
lungs/respiratory
male health
pain relief
parasites
pituitary (master gland)
sleep
thyroid
toxicity
vision
vitamins/minerals/antioxidants

Food & Sensitivities

These days we will put just about anything into our mouths from food and liquids to chemicals and drugs, expecting our systems to magically sort it out, break it down, use the good and get rid of the bad, all with no problems. The fact that we have withstood most of the abuse is not a good reason to keep doing it. Digestive problems can be the key to many major ailments!

Food sensitivities can be accurately identified and addressed through nutritional, emotional and/or energetic means through the use of muscle testing. There is a desensitization technique available called ASERT, and it has been found to be extremely effective not only for food, but also for environmental sensitivities.

BODYWORK

Respiratory Release

The nervous system controls all organs and structures of the body. This therapy is gentle and non-invasive and is used to create spinal and/or joint balance. Slight, directional pressure is used in conjunction with the client's breath. Using muscle testing, weaknesses can be found, directional pressure can be determined, the type of breath can be chosen and the resulting balance can be tested. This therapy is not only a support for the structural body. Because of the spine's close relationship with the body's meridians, this is also a potent form of energetic and emotional work. Please note that this therapy is NOT a chiropractic adjustment.

Muscle Balancing

This procedure uses kinesiology to test muscles for weakness. Weak muscles are akin to a blown circuit-breaker. In essence, they are neurologically "turned off," and can cause posture problems, pain and reduced athletic/physical performance. A good metaphor for balancing the muscles is to use the example of a swinging door with hinges on each side, allowing it to swing in both directions. If one hinge of the door becomes weak, the other hinge will pull tight and the door won't swing back to center. No amount of oiling the tight hinge will get the door swinging again. The weak hinge needs to be fixed or replaced for the door to work properly. Just like that door, each of our movements is governed by two muscles working concurrently. As one tightens, the other relaxes and vice versa. The key to muscle balance is to awaken the weak muscle and get it working again. This is not a massage. It is a wake-up call for the brain to "turn on" the weak muscle(s).

NOTE: If you have had bodywork performed for you in the past, and weaknesses continue to return (i.e. you continue to need the same bodywork over and over) there may be a need for nutritional and/or emotional support in conjunction with your bodywork.

"Pain is the final alarm before some life-threatening malfunction takes place. Just prior to the pain and malfunction, there are signs and symptoms which can be recognized. One of these is the weakening of the muscles and a change in posture."
