A Definition of Energywork

Energywork is any work used to balance an energy field. The body's energy field penetrates and surrounds the body and has a strong association with health. If the directional flow of any energy is disrupted or reversed, physical, emotional, mental or spiritual stress and dis-ease can be experienced.

More Than We Can Perceive with our 5 Senses

Science joins metaphysics in declaring that the physical body is not a continuous solid, but is basicall composed of particles and waves of energies. Matter in general, and our body in particular, is therefore essentially an interaction of patterns of energy vibrating at interwoven frequencies and intensities.

We are alive because of this life force flowing through us. It flows within the physical body through hubs and pathways called chakras and meridians. It also flows around us in a field called the aura. Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions.

The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of life force. When the flow of life force is disrupted, it diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body leading to every type of imbalance.

I often integrate energywork into a kinesiology session to help decrease the amount of nutritional support needed for a wellness program. I have found this to be successful because energywork activates the innate healing abilities of one's body. Quick energy manipulations are also quite helpful in supporting correct meridian flows and the integrity of a testing session.

What is Reiki (Usui and Seichim)?

The Usui method of Reiki is the traditional healing and enlightenment system founded by Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki is gentle and intuitive, going where it is needed or flowing in response to the demand or need of the recipient. Although the symptoms are treated, Reiki goes to the root cause. It is a peaceful and joyous experience of energy and healing in the body. Reiki is easily used in conjunction with other health care treatments and can accelerate the healing process as well as minimize the side effects of conventional medical treatments.

Seichim is multi-dimensional living light energy rediscovered by Patrick Scott Zeigler. Traditional Reiki assists in the early stages of opening up the doorway to the many levels of one's higher nature. Seichim takes over, opening and enhancing one's connection to Source.

A Reiki session helps ease tension and stress and also supports the body to facilitate healing on all levels, as mentioned above. Because of its calming and non-invasive qualities, there are great benefits from this particular energy therapy for those with debilitating illnesses.

What to Expect from Your Energy Session

I was blessed to be born with the gift for vibrational healing and energetic manipulation, and I have used it throughout my life. If requested, I can perform a "Reiki-only" session, otherwise I will integrate several other energy modalities,  my own intuitive work, and emotional therapies if needed into the session. The work is almost always hands-on with the client fully clothed, and at times I may introduce a crystal, essential oils, flower essences or other tools into the work (using muscle testing as a guide). No matter what the make-up of the session, be assured that your imbalances will be addressed on all energetic levels to heal mind, body & spirit!

Reiki Certification Training

I teach Reiki 1 & 2 certification classes for interested individuals and healthcare providers. I teach the Usui method using both traditional and non-traditional means. Because I have studied many types of energy healing in addition to being an intuitive healer, I will include other energy exercises in my Reiki training as deemed appropriate.

Level 1 certification is all a person needs to access the energy of Reiki. After completion of this level, a practitioner is capable of working on themselves and others.

Level 2 certification is for individuals who want to learn to focus the energy with the use of symbols. It also adds in the capability of working with Reiki across a distance.

All classes are completed in one day and include a manual, attunement, practice and certificate. Classes are intentionally kept small. I only require 2 people for the purpose of practicing. Level 1 classes are generally held once a month, and level 2 classes are held as requested by level 1 practitioners.

Reiki 1 = $125, Reiki 2 = $175.

Space Clearing

The energies of the spaces you inhabit have definite effects on your health and well-being. During a space clearing, my work is to balance the physical, emotional and spiritual energies of your space with the intention to improve health, relationships, finances, etc. Spaces can include homes, offices, schools and hospital rooms. I am a light & energy practitioner experienced in moving, clearing, balancing and holding energies. This is not a feng shui consultation.

The cost is $55 per hour with sessions lasting between 1 1/2 and 2 hours. This cost also includes a programmed stone or crystal that you keep for your space.

It is a good rule of thumb to clear your space at least once a year, but you may want to consider it during other times (following are some examples):

after moving into a new or previously occupied space

when you feel the need for a change (bored or "stuck")

after there has been an illness or death

after difficult visitors

if you're energy is low and you feel drained

after a robbery or violent act

after any kind of negative or highly emotional experience
